Practice Description:
I have recently received certification as an Equity-informed Mediator through Resolutions NW. I offer a full spectrum mediation service, specializing in couples, teens, elder, workplace, and neighborhood disputes. I offer online and in-person mediation services. My talents lie in my ability to offer neutral, compassionate, and respectful listening. I am a creative thinker and love to use my sensitivities to assist clients in finding viable and mutually agreeable solutions.
Approach to Practice / Form of Mediation:
I have ben training in equity issues since 2018 and am currently an Equity-informed Mediator. I am trained to identify power differentials and work toward assuring everyone's voice is heard. I have over ten years of intensive training in Tibetan Buddhist meditation, philosophy, and cosmology. It is through the compassionate lens of mindfulness that I approaches conflict resolution. I look at all aspects of a dispute and take into consideration clients' personal experiences, interests, and needs.
Background:
I am an Award-winning Author, and have worked extensively with families for the past twenty years. I have been employed as a K-8 private school teacher, a meditation instructor to children, adults, and elders, worked as an advocate on behalf of mental health patients through MindFreedom International, and have been a co-counselor in a children's bereavement program in Eugene.
