Approach to Practice / Form of Mediation:
I begin with a facillitative approach to mediation. when appropriate, I may provide evaluative services. The focus is to find common interest and move toward maximum satisfaction of all parties. Most parties have common interest. I seek to identify the barriers and help clients achieve their goals.
Background:
Over 20 years in the legal industry as a law clerk or judicial clerk, nineteen years practicing law both transactional and trial practice in state court (Oregon), federal courts (Oregon, and pro hac vice in Hawaii, and California), Arbitration forums (AAA, IDCR, ICANN), and USPTO (TTAB). Thirteen years as an arbitrator, five years as a mediator.

JD, Willamette University College of Law 2001
Basic mediation training
Advance mediation training for Domestic Relations, Restorative Justice, Landlord Tennant, Small Claims.
Parenting Time Coordination traning.
Fee Information:
Hourly rate for most mediation sessions are $250 split among the parties.
Rate reduced to $150 per hour for parenting plans and child custody, (most privately retained parenting time and custody matters are resolved between 2-4 sessions)
Co-petition for dissolution begin at $1,500 which covers drafting and two one-hour session, and a 15-minute signing session. After two session, client are billed $250 per hour (unless the parties are mediation child custody and parenting time. which is billed at a reduced rate) and the costs are split between all parties.
