Practice Description:
In my mediation training, I've learned that the traits that make people good lawyers (and judges) do not always facilitate good mediation.
My focus in mediation is to apply the scientifically-sound methods I was trained on, remain a trusted neutral throughout the conversation, and facilitate solutions rather than compel them.
Approach to Practice / Form of Mediation:
I apply the transformative mediation techniques I was trained on in the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation.
I am open to mediating in subject matters outside of my professional and personal experience with the informed consent of all involved / affected parties.
Background:
Prior to becoming a lawyer in 2018, I was the founder of several technology-oriented businesses. I have been an insurance professional, salesperson, computer programmer, system administrator, business manager, and problem solver. I have practiced juvenile law at the trial and appellate levels, criminal law from misdemeanor to major felony, civil rights lawsuits and a few personal injury claims on the plaintiff side. I currently manage a litigation practice handling civil and criminal matters.
